HOW TO SHOOT SPLENDED SUNSETS
Glorious sunsets always fascinate me and I am sure to all nature lovers and those who are blessed with sense to appreciate beauty. Shooting sunset sounds very easy and fascinating but unfortunately equally tough. Specially the exposure needs a lot of expertise, as camera sensor must fool when you directly face it to the sun. Here are some tips to shoot the moments of dramatic light properly:
EXPOSURE :
Meter off the bright clouds or sky just to one side rather than use the sun itself. Exposing direct would result in an under exposure picture.
USING FILTER :
A sunset or orange filter can used in some situations to enhance the effect but these filters must be of very good quality otherwise final picture would be ruined.
SILHOUETTES:
Composition can be enhanced by using some interesting element like tree, fence or a living animal and by making their silhouettes by slightly under exposing.
NEVER LOOK DIRECT INTO SUN WHEN USING TELEPHOTO LENS. THERE IS A CHANCE OF RETINA DAMAGE
