Mystic Man from Madhu Lal Hussain

Madhu Lal Hussian was a sufi saint of 16th century in Lahore which was in India at that time and now the capital of Punjab province in Pakistan. Shrine of Madhu Lal Hussain is still the center for saints and malangs of all parts of south Asia. They gather there on festival of lights being held on 27 to 29th of March each year in Lahore in Baghbanpura near Shalimar Garden. While shooting in the shrine I noticed this face which attracted me a lot. I ask for a shot and gave me pose with a smile. His name is Mehmood and have great skill in mystic dance called “Dhamaal”

Saint In Red

Red color is the color of sacrifice  and revolution. This Saint in red  from Madhu Lal Hussain wear red clothes and turban to show his devotion for the saint and his readiness for sacrifice and change with the teaching of his master. The saint was blowing a horn to spread the voice of love and peace in the world. These sufis are ambassadress of peace and non violence in the world. The cult of red clad malangs is found in all the Asia and the tradition of mysticism in Islam which started from central Asia is now world over.

Mystic tradition is very strong in India and Pakistan . That old man was sitting along the wall of a mosque and was reading blue book.he looks to be a mystic man and reciting some sacred verses.His shoes were blue and having a blue book in his hand. that may be chance but amazing to look. Whole environment looks to me as mystic and I decided to take a candid shot.
