Dragon Fly

Art of photography is all about seeing things differently. Reflection of these reed leaves creates a beautiful symmetry. While I observe this during my visit to river in an enchanting evening of November, I could not resist to have some shots. Soon I noticed a dragon fly was sitting on the leaves and was making deep shadow in the water. That dragon fly make the picture.

Cloudy Mystic Morning

The sky was dull but with clouds and blue light for a change.We were there after breakfast and the air feels fresh. We’re prepared to shoot in this mesmerized environment on rive side.. A small seasonal lake was not too far off that is the place we were going to begin our days shooting. I was with my two dearest friends, all nature lovers and photographers.

The ground was slippery on the way to the lake but not very tough. we drove our car almost up to the bank of the lake. The lake looked amazing not too far off, with its consummately level surface. Encompassing it were trails of smoke ascending to the sky originating from the nearby fishermen’s huts.

We started looking for the best perspectives to shoot the parked boats. we had never seen such a romantic morning. Landscape was so fascinating and enchanting. Parked boats added a strong foreground in the pictures. This one is my favorite.

Parked Boats

Spring evenings are amazing to photograph objects like parked boats in a river. Keeping in view the light of spring I manage a visit to river Ravi in Punjab Pakistan which is about one and a half hour drive from my home. It was worth a travel as I got few memorable shots of boats and life around the river.

Fishing In The Morning

Both fishing and photography  are morning activities. As I was ready to shoot some water Lilly at Tremu Head-works,  this boat with a young and a small kid fisherman entered in the scene. Morning hues and haze was making the scene illusive and mysterious. So i decided to have a shot. Life of fishermen is tough in general but their children suffer more. They have no time and facilities for education. Their life is nomadic and have no permanent houses.There are no medical facilities for these people and many of these are having serious ailments. Fishing is now also reducing in the rivers as water has been polluted by toxic chemicals regularly poured in by the industry.

Borit lake – A  Beauty Beyond Appreciation

Borit Lake in upper Hunza Valley of Pakistan in Gilgit region is like a gem. Its sapphire blue water and colorful autumn trees around banks presents a stunning view.  It is about 2 km from Hussaini village towards north west and can be hiked by a once jeep road.
