Daily Life On A River

Documentary photography is just a passion for me and converting pictures into art pieces which elicit the esthetics in a mind and heart is my sole purpose. I have some frequent visits to the river Ravi and each time encounter with different type of life experience. Life is still more rich on the river as it was centuries ago. One can fine camels coming in hundreds and thousands to drink water in the evening. Buffaloes and cows herds are common scenes which are mend by young boys and old men.

Shepherd Boy On The River Bank

It was the golden hour of the day rather hues become a bit pink just after the sunset when I locate this shepherd boy on the bank of the river with his buffaloes. These boys are some time sole worker in the house and some time they just help their parents after school. Child labor is common and inevitable in the developing countries as there is a great difference between the have and have not.

Rhythm Of Village life

Village life have a special pace and rhythm. It is slow but harmonious. Villagers are simple and their activities are  very near to nature. I took this shot from river Ravi near Okara in Punjab Pakistan. In the evening people from all area get their herds to make them drink river water. There is always some herd going and other is coming. Evening light and glow of dust was so fascinating that is just pop up the buffaloes in the scene. Some camels going on the opposite side have added an element of mystery in the picture.
