In the season of winter farmer families in Punjab province of both India and Pakistan mostly use mustard plants as food source. They cook these plants as a pottage and eat it with maize chapati. It is a popular dish in the villages of Punjab and known as “Saag aur Maki ki Roti” with butter or “Makhan”

Life of farmers starts very early in the morning. They first feed their cattle before the sun rise and then start their journey for farms on their bull carts with the rising sun. Early morning yellow light bath the whole area and the crops look a carpet of gold. Life is primitive but beautiful in rural Asia. Farmers are simple and hospitable people who love to serve the guests. These farmers are fond of folk singing and sing in loud tones while riding on the bull carts.
