Shepherds In Naran

Balakot is a city of shepherds where many families earn their living by grazing their own sheep or some herds on rent in the grassy fields of Naran valley Pakistan. These shepherds starts their yearly travel very early in the summer in the months of May and continue to deeper and upper pasture lands along the Mansehra- Naran- Jalkhad (MNJ) road. Their journey back start in the month of September and they reached back in their homes in Balakot and Mansehra before the snow fall starts. This picture of a herd of sheep and cattle is taken before the Batakundi town in Naran valley. Beauty of light was awesome in that evening of September and and mountains were bathed in amazing silvery light which is the signature of that area.
